“I always knew I wanted to be a musician. At age 3, I’d try to play Sunday school songs on the piano by ear. I started formal lessons at age 7 and added a few more instruments along the way. Music was an enormous part of my childhood and adolescent years, and I wanted to keep doing it for the rest of my life.
“The pandemic was a catalyst for my creativity, and I found myself desperate for ways to make music both for other people and with other people. I ended up releasing 3 albums in the span of 8 months, while also finding a supportive community of musicians eager to collaborate on social media.
“I love making music in many different ways - taking rapid-fire requests on livestreams; worshiping with other musicians at church; composing on my 1896 upright piano; accompanying young band & orchestra soloists; and, of course, taking part in the joy of weddings.”
“The first time I ever played for a wedding was in the summer of 2000, at age 11. I can’t count how many weddings I’ve played for since then, but they never get old - each one is such a joy to experience!”
